YORBA Immersion 2027 – A Year in Nature - A Year of Movement

YORBA –
A journey of movement, grounding, and deep inner connection - back to what is natural.

Beginning March 18, 2027

Return to Your Natural Self

YORBA is an immersive year-long journey back to what is essential, authentic, and alive within you.

Through nature, movement, dance, breath, and deep presence, you are invited to reconnect with your body, awaken your life force, and remember the wisdom that already lives inside you.

This is an invitation to move beyond old patterns, express what truly wants to emerge, and stand firmly in your own truth—supported by the rhythms of nature and the strength of a committed circle.

Over the course of one year, we gather once in each season, allowing the changing landscape to become both our teacher and our guide. As nature transforms, so do we.

Together we cultivate a simple yet powerful practice of grounding, movement, dance, and conscious breathing that helps us reconnect with ourselves and with the living world around us.

YORBA is for you if you long to

  • Deepen your connection with nature and with yourself.

  • Live more in harmony with your body's natural rhythms.

  • Experience freedom, strength, and inner peace through movement and dance.

  • Express your authentic self with confidence and openness.

  • Grow within a supportive and intimate community.

During the year you will experience

  • Four immersive retreats in nature—one in each season.

  • Guided practices in movement, dance, grounding, and breathwork.

  • Ways of connecting with nature as a source of healing, clarity, and inner guidance.

  • A safe and supportive circle for personal transformation and growth.

  • Time for silence, reflection, joy, and genuine connection.

Yorba means circle in Northern Sámi—a symbol of life's natural cycles, wholeness, belonging, and our connection to the Earth.

In YORBA we dance with the seasons, learn from nature's wisdom, and open ourselves to the life force already moving within us.

This is more than a course.
It is a journey.
A practice.
A community.
A homecoming.

Discover the YORBA Year Circle

A One-Year Immersion Through the Four Seasons –

Guided by the Wisdom of Nature

The YORBA Year Circle is a year-long immersion for those who are ready to deepen their connection with themselves through the wisdom of the body and the rhythms of nature.

It is an invitation to slow down, to sense more deeply, to discover the intelligence of your body, and to stand firmly in your own inner truth. Throughout the year, you will journey in harmony with the natural cycles of the seasons.

We begin at the Spring Equinox in March 2026, following the wheel of the year with four immersive gatherings: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Between each gathering, every participant receives individual guidance and support. All retreats take place at Lonin, in the beautiful countryside of Telemark, Norway.

A Journey of Lasting Transformation

The Year Circle invites you inward, creating the possibility for deep and lasting change—not through force, but by transforming the body's patterns and memories.

As you learn to trust your body's wisdom, you begin to live in greater harmony with your own natural rhythm. You discover that what your body is telling you is worthy of being heard.

When you follow the intelligence of your body, you become more confident in making choices that are truly right for you.

The body always tells the truth.

YORBA is a movement practice where the body itself becomes the doorway to freedom. Through movement, dance, grounding, and breath, your unique life energy is awakened.

The practice creates a deep sense of safety within the body, allowing you to embody your own strength with confidence and authenticity. This immersion gives you the opportunity to experience that transformation from within.

"A YORBA woman is someone who dares to be herself—with strength and compassion. She shares her wisdom and contributes to the world. She creates, follows what brings her joy, and stays vibrant by remaining in motion. She fills herself with life force and radiates quiet confidence."

Coming Home to Yourself

Every human being longs to feel at home in their own body.

Many people struggle to find peace, to trust themselves, to speak honestly, to feel safe, or to fully live their dreams.

Developing a deep connection with yourself requires an understanding of the body's language, together with practices that help release old patterns and create new possibilities.

My teaching is based on direct experience.

Rather than simply learning concepts, you will discover, understand, and embody the practice through your own body. This allows you to experience how YORBA can become both a personal practice and a valuable therapeutic or teaching tool.

The program includes:

  • Movement and embodied practice

  • Dance and breathwork

  • Grounding techniques

  • Theory and reflection

  • Personal exploration and self-study

  • Group sharing and community

  • Individual guidance to help you discover your own expression and develop your personal YORBA practice

Each seasonal gathering explores its own unique qualities and energy, revealing how nature's cycles are reflected within ourselves.

This promises to be a beautiful, powerful, and deeply transformative journey.

About Vibeke

For more than 40 years, I have taught dance to children, young people, and adults. I have supervised students at the Norwegian National Ballet Academy and, over the past years, devoted myself to developing the YORBA practice.

My passion is creating spaces where people can discover both their inner landscape and their physical presence—allowing each individual to explore the depth of the cyclical nature of life and reconnect with their own uniqueness.

I believe this is something our modern world deeply longs for.

The YORBA Year Circle is designed for those who are ready to commit to a year of growth, expansion, and transformation.

Every movement, every practice, and every piece of theory has been carefully woven together to create an experience of wholeness.

Body, mind, emotions, and spirit are inseparable, just as the seasons are inseparable from the cycles of life.

YORBA is inspired by ancient wisdom traditions. Indigenous peoples around the world understood how to live in harmony with nature and recognised themselves as part of the great circle of life.

The word Yorba comes from Northern Sámi and means circle.

As a dancer, I also work individually with posture, alignment, breathing, rhythm, counterbalance, and the natural contrasts that create freedom and vitality in movement.

These principles extend far beyond dance—they become a way of living where the mind and body work together in harmony.

It is a true privilege to share the knowledge I have gathered through more than forty years of dance, movement, and energy work.

Participant Reflections

"YORBA has changed me. I feel much more grounded and connected to myself. I now want to care for myself in a completely different way. I know I will live with greater simplicity, calm, and presence."

Participant

"YORBA has given me a deep sense of freedom. I dare to express myself, and I have become proud of my body. The constant mental chatter disappears as I connect with my inner strength. I feel softer, more feminine, and my breathing has become deeper, allowing stress to dissolve. I feel more open—in both body and mind."

Participant

The YORBA practice was created by dancer and body therapist Vibeke Vigerland, drawing on a lifetime of experience as a dancer, movement teacher, and facilitator.

YORBA is a gentle yet powerful movement practice designed to awaken your inner strength through natural movement, dance, and conscious breathing. It invites you to ground yourself, let go of control, and allow your body to lead the way.

Through dance, you are supported in releasing tension, arriving fully in yourself, and opening to your own strength, creativity, self-love, and authentic joy—just as you are.
